'Motoren' staat voor: Wereldkampioenschap Motorconstructeurs 1950-2009.
Niemand heeft ooit gesproken over de wenselijkheid van een Wereldkampioenschap Motorconstructeurs.
In werkelijkheid heeft dit kampioenschap dus nooit bestaan. Voor een zo eerlijk mogelijke vergelijking tussen coureurs, autoconstructeurs en motorconstructeurs begint echter ook deze virtuele statistiek in 1950.
In 2010 actieve motoren zijn onderstreept.
